or CLICK HERE For our Online Proof Viewing PLEASE NOTE Although I will continue to accept a few small assignments, after 21 years, the era of the Wedding & Portrait Artistry of Brian & Wendy Davies has come to an end. We WILL honor any current commitments including any upcoming weddings and events AND past due wedding albums that have not yet been delivered, but the current economy, a series of health setbacks (as recent as last week--mid June) and personal setbacks have put us way behind. And since we make our living from of a very small profit margin due to high equipment costs, overhead and labor, this current, horrible DEPRESSION* has delivered the final, crushing blow to our business. We can no longer go on absorbing the losses that we have been suffering over the last two years and even had to file bankruptcy--the fact that we are losing our home to foreclosure on July 21, 2009 further proves that our condition continues to get worse. (*When GM stock value falls lower than it was during the great depression and unemployment surpasses 10% as predicted, I think it's time to hold our leaders accountable and call a spade a spade--it's a depression, NOT a "severe recession" and no one is offering small businesses any of the billions in bailouts that are being WAISTED on CEO's with huge bonuses and Lear Jets who are even now carelessly wasting the bailout money. Ask any economist with only a fair education--these bailouts will NOT work. My biggest hope for the future is that we elect leaders with WISDOM instead of the ones with the most charisma and most campaign funds.) I am now down from a staff of six (plus Wendy who did the work of any 3 employees) to a staff of one--myself, and will continue to work on the few remaining current commitments and past due wedding albums, one at a time until they are complete. I would like to thank ALL of our clients that helped to make 20 of our 21 years in business a resounding success. You've clothed us, you've fed our children and until a year ago, you have even made it possible to pay our mortgage and put a roof over our heads. I will miss your MUCH appreciated patronage, I will miss our long conversations and most of all, I will cherish the friendships that have been formed with many of you. Close friends are telling me that I "can't just waste this talent that God has blessed me with", but I think I've proven that I'm a much better photographer than manager of people. So, I won't rule out working for another studio or even starting a much smaller operation with reduced volume that I alone can handle. So if and when that happens, I hope to see you there!
